Kiln Service
First, fill out the form at the bottom of the page to request your firing. Please include details on your work, such as clay body/glazes used, and if you have a firm deadline to receive your items back by.
Once scheduled, you will drop off your boxed items at the garage. Your work will then be taken in, loaded, fired, and returned to your box at the table. You will receive an update, ETA, and invoice when it’s time to come pick up your items!
Community Firing or Solo Firing?
A Community Firing is best for potters with a small amount of work, and no timeline. Drop your pieces off to sit on the shelf, and wait for other potters to also have items ready for a firing. Once the kiln is at least half full, the firing will be scheduled and you will be notified. Typical wait time is up to a month. If you change your mind, just contact me to let me know you’d like to switch to a solo firing.
A Solo Firing is best for potters with quite a bit of work, and/or need their work returned quickly.
***COMMUNITY FIRINGS ARE ONLY FOR STONEWARE and MIDFIRE GLAZES. Bisqued at Cone 05, Glaze fired at Cone 6.***
Want your pieces back ASAP? Request a solo firing!
Because firing with more air space is tough on the kiln’s elements, the minimum charge for a solo firing is $50.
Low fire, high fire, and lustre firings must also be scheduled as a solo/custom firing.
